Ask the store how participation works

PocketMonsters.Net’s September 17 coverage reproduces a Pokémon announcement describing open play, trading sessions, tournaments and other activities. Stores set their own schedules, and the announcement directs participants to check locally. The coverage also identifies a seasonal sticker sheet among the rewards.

Before travelling, ask which session includes the promotion, whether registration or an entry fee applies, and how cards are distributed. If you want all three Pokémon, ask whether that is possible through the scheduled activities. Treat those answers as local arrangements: the general announcement is not a promise that one visit will complete the trio.

Three companions, three separate estimates

Our September 18 card snapshot places Gengar ex, 154/128 from 30th Celebration, at about $154.98. Mega Darkrai ex, 120/084 from Pitch Black, has a $149.59 market estimate. Muk (13), 13/62 from Fossil, is about $63.86.

These figures describe the individual cards, not the forthcoming bat promos. They are card-market estimates rather than seller offers, and the differences do not establish relative demand. Choose among these sets according to the Pokémon you want on the page. There is no need to buy all three companions to make the event cards feel like a finished collection.

Let the visit define the collection

A useful starting plan is to reserve three spaces for the bat line and leave the surrounding spaces undecided. After the event, arrange the cards you actually received, then decide whether a Gengar, Darkrai or Muk adds something you enjoy.

Keep a brief note of the store and session alongside your collection record. That gives the cards a connection to the visit without requiring an expensive supporting cast. The next step is checking your local schedule; any additional singles can remain on the want list until you have decided how the page should look.
