Target’s September 27 Pokémon event offers a keepsake you can draw

A space for your own Pokémon card

Target’s event page lists September 27, noon to 4 p.m., at most stores, with card drawing, themed photographs and giveaways while supplies last. PocketMonsters.Net also covered the announcement on September 22, linking to Target’s details.

An anniversary collection can leave room for something its owner made. Pikachu ex, Jirachi ex and Zapdos from 30th Celebration provide three possible Pokémon to build a page around. A drawing could sit alongside that collection as a dated memory of the visit, with its creator’s name and the occasion recorded separately.

Check what the visit actually includes

Target links a participating-store list. Its public event description does not identify a numbered promotional card or promise particular booster products.

Before travelling, check your location and ask about arrangements for the drawing activity. If a particular giveaway is your only reason to go, confirm what the store can tell you first. For a family outing, decide together whether making a card and taking a photograph would make the trip worthwhile even without a purchase.

Keep the anniversary singles list separate

Our latest card snapshot, dated September 23, 2026, puts 30th Celebration Pikachu ex 149/128 at a market estimate of $81.86, Jirachi ex 155/128 at $69.16 when rounded to cents, and Zapdos 133/128 at $11.38.

Those figures offer context for a separate singles decision. They are market estimates, not Target offers, and none establishes event stock or giveaway contents. Choosing Zapdos for a personal anniversary page would involve a substantially smaller reference amount than choosing either of the other two cards.

Write the set and card number beside each wanted single. Keep a separate space for the handmade souvenir so it does not become another purchase to complete.

Give the keepsake its own record

After the visit, photograph the finished drawing and record the date and location. If you keep the physical piece, choose storage that fits without trimming or folding it.

The useful collector decision is what you want to remember. A favourite Pokémon, a family member’s drawing and a short note about the afternoon can give an anniversary page a purpose before any singles are added.
